I love writing about golf. This blog has been an enjoyable hobby, has allowed me to engage with golfers from all around the world and has created some purpose for my Canadian golf travels. Having a golfing bucket list is something all golfers should do and I love mine (acknowledging it needs to be updated). However, one aspect of my blogging which requires some attention to detail and improvement is my photography. Lost in the excitement of playing a round on a new and exciting course is a need to get some great pictures to help convey the experience to readers. My resolution for 2016 is an improvement on this front, but with that caveat here are my top pictures from the 2015 season:
PEI Golf Trip – October 2015. Sunshine. Great friends. Crab pants.Streetsville Glen Golf Course – November 2015. My first ace!Admiral’s Hill Golf Course at Pippy Park – September 2015. This view of St. John’s, NL was breathtaking. Not a bad little par 3!
PEI Golf Trip – October 2015. Early morning sun casting shadows on the front nine of Green Gables Golf Course in Cavendish, PEI.
Forest Golf Course – May 2015. A picture I will always cherish of my Dad and I. The annual Pitch, Putt and Gimme weekend in Forest, ON. After 14 years, finally won MVP!
PEI Golf Trip – October 2015. Eagles Glenn in the early morning and a filter to show off the mist and morning colours.
May 2015 – Upper Canada Golf Course in Morrisburg, ON. This unique carving in an old tree just off the first green was something to see
PEI Golf Trip – October 2015. My favourite picture of the year. Greg A. teeing off the 2nd hole of Dundarave. Not quite Ben Hogan’s 1-iron approach at the US Open, but artistic in its own right.
As winter considers its late arrival in Ontario I hope you enjoy these images from the last year. I hope it takes you back to some of your best moments of the season. Whether you have pictures or not, I hope the memories from 2015 remain vivid for quite some time.
