2018 In Review – Pictures – #1

I will be hard pressed to experience a course as awe-inspiring as Victoria Golf Club.  This is a private club and one of Canada’s oldest.  Contrast to yesterday’s image, this photo was modified using an application called Snapseed.  Strengthening, even in a subtle manner, the contrasts between the ocean, sky, course and and rocky shoreline takes this to a whole new level.  It is my favourite photo of the past year and highlights the best course I was able to play in 2018.  I look forward to sharing more images in 2019 as I continue to chip away at my Canadian courses bucket list.  Best wishes to you all for a safe and Merry Christmas!

“The point”

Can’t recall where I wish I had more time before needing to tee off.

The opening par 5, generous off the tee and a slight dogleg right.  The mountains in Washington State off in the distance only add to the mystique.

Mildly addicted to the game of golf. Fiercely loyal. A planner, a dreamer, reflective and a proud and passionate Canadian. A father. A fiancé. A tree planter. A Trent graduate. A dog owner. Falling in love with my putter after many failed relationships. A scratch golfer stuck in a 10 handicap body. Love, love, love golf value. Fade on a good day. One ace (and seeking a second). A golf writer/blogger focused on public golf in Canada. Chipping away at my own Bucket List of Canadian golf courses.
