2018 In Review – Pictures – #3

There is so much that I love about this image.  First, it takes me back to a golfing highlight from the past year.  Playing 3 rounds with Jeremy Kehler (who operates Prairie Golf Magazine) in Manitoba this June was flawless.  Pinawa is a fun resort course set along the Pinawa Channel and the Winnipeg River.  This hole, the short par 4 16th, is so picturesque and serene, as you can see.  But I have never seen a course create its own ‘circle of friendship’, a gimme range for putts.  Love the idea, just wish it extended another 4 feet out!  I can only hope to get back there and experience this again.

Pinawa
Pinawa set up this gimme circle for a corporate event the day before.  Very clever.  This green slopes considerably but I chose the right time to drain one…birdie!

Mildly addicted to the game of golf. Fiercely loyal. A planner, a dreamer, reflective and a proud and passionate Canadian. A father. A fiancé. A tree planter. A Trent graduate. A dog owner. Falling in love with my putter after many failed relationships. A scratch golfer stuck in a 10 handicap body. Love, love, love golf value. Fade on a good day. One ace (and seeking a second). A golf writer/blogger focused on public golf in Canada. Chipping away at my own Bucket List of Canadian golf courses.
