2019 in Review – Pictures – #3

We’re back in Ponoka, Alberta, at Wolf Creek.  The Links course may have created one of the best back nines I have ever played in Canada.  The back is more expansive than anywhere else on the course and Rod Whitman used the dunes and sand-based soil to create some masterful bunkering.  As I look back on my playing experience, on a cold late summer day with @GolfIsMental , this is the nine holes stretch I play over and over in my head.  I look forward to sharing my review with you later in the winter season; a teaser for the spring!

My friends, best wishes for a very Merry Christmas!

Mildly addicted to the game of golf. Fiercely loyal. A planner, a dreamer, reflective and a proud and passionate Canadian. A father. A fiancé. A tree planter. A Trent graduate. A dog owner. Falling in love with my putter after many failed relationships. A scratch golfer stuck in a 10 handicap body. Love, love, love golf value. Fade on a good day. One ace (and seeking a second). A golf writer/blogger focused on public golf in Canada. Chipping away at my own Bucket List of Canadian golf courses.

    1. That must have been a real treat, Jim. I loved every second. Weather was less than ideal but it seemed appropriate. Hope we both get a chance to get back there again!

      Happy New Year!

      Mike.
