Postcards from PEI – Day 2

First day of golf.  Started strong, too.  Brudenell River and one of Canada’s top public courses, Crowbush Cove.  Both were outstanding.  If today’s golf weather could be captured in a song, it would be the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.  Cool and wet this morning and this afternoon saw 50-70 kmh winds buffeting off the ocean.  Hitting a 4 hybrid well and only 115 yards is a new experience.

Let me say this, the golf in PEI is simply outstanding and the people are even better.

I’m keeping this brief, scallops are on the stove friends.  Enjoy a couple pictures from today.  This Island is fantastic for golf.

Brudenell is a fun, unique course with 6 par 3’s, 4’s and 5’s but did not feel gimmicky.  A strong layout with great conditioning and some amazing signature holes along the river make this a must play.  Crowbush – well it’s status as one of Canada’s best public courses is well deserved.  Stout golf holes throughout with challenging greens and subtle elevation change…and the wind, wow.  But the views.  Enjoy.  For me, it’s dinner (more seafood).

The stunning 16th at Crowbush. I am likely holding onto the cart so I don't get blown away.
