Postcards from PEI – Day 7

4 Friends.

7 Days.

10 Rounds

180 Holes.

A great golf trip is winding down.  Today was the 10th and final round at an underrated Fox Meadow course just outside Charlottetown.  This course was a consensus winner by all four of us.  We would all be happy to be members at this course.  It is built close to a housing subdivision but it never felt like the homes were in play.  The layout was comfortable and the conditioning was very strong.  The course also had the best practice facilities on the Island.

I finished strong, with birdies on holes 179 and 180 of the trip.  I can’t say enough about the experience golfing on the Island.  But more about that soon.

We capped off the trip with a tour of of the PEI Brewing Company (along with some strategic sampling).

Some pictures from today.  I will be in touch soon but for now time for a lobster roll and Blue Jays playoff baseball.

A brisk morning at Fox Meadow. With clear skies the fall colours were visible and framed the course nicely.

Never seen this before. A scuba team fishing golf balls out of a pond on the par 3 7th. 9000 balls out of two ponds? I believe it.

A nice way to end the trip. The tour was informative and enjoyable. Conveniently located downtown Charlottetown, the PEI Brewing Company is a great side trip.
